Movie Titles

Quite often movie titles set the scene for the whole movie due to the different types of fonts,sizes and colours of font e.g. A bright colorful font which has a soft curved edge sets more of a happy mood on the other hand a big dark font with sharp edges can set a scary and spooky scene.Here are a few of my favorite opening thriller titles-

Insidious-


This title looks very spooky and creepy,this has been achieved by the use of the big red bold letters that the designer of this title has used,also in the back ground it is a dark wall with light patches at the bottom and top,with the shadow of the word 'INSIDIOUS' behind.They have used the dark background so that the bright red title stands out alot more and catches the eye of the viewer.

Vertigo-


Again in this title the colour red has been used,its seems to be used to create the effect of blood or anger.This title creates suspense by the use of the wide red eye,also the writing catches your eye because it is a frost white colour on a blood red background.


Snakes On A Plane-

The colours on this movie titles happens to stand out quiet alot because of the solid black background,which pulls all of the viewers attention to the orange/red bold writing and the two serpents coiled around the airplane.This title can make viewers who are terrified of snakes just quiver in there seats because it creates an image in many peoples heads that the snakes are gigantic and are bigger than the plane.
